How can I contact Glamping at Wallops Wood?

How do I book a Shepherd's Hut Holiday?
Book via this website by checking the calendar at the foot of each web page. Availability for the shepherd’s huts is shown in green. Once you have chosen your holiday, click the Book Now button and the booking engine will take you through the booking process.
8 Shepherd’s Huts are bookable and an additional hut, Tiny Tin, can only be booked with other Huts.
Call or email our friendly Bookings Team to book Tiny Tin with your Shepherd’s Hut or to hire the whole site, including Tiny Tin, to sleep 23 people.
Our office hours are from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
When are the changeover days?
Check availability in the calendar at the foot of each page (indicated in green). The changeover, or arrival, days are everyday from Sunday to Friday.

Can I start my holiday on a different day than offered on the website?
Call us on 01489 878888 and tell us which Shepherd’s Hut you are interested in booking, it may be possible to book alternative dates. Basically we’ll need to know the dates you’re interested in, and how many people are holidaying.
What time is check in and check out?
Check in to our Shepherd’s Huts from 4pm, and check out before 10am on the day you leave.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Paying the 30% deposit secures your booking and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Although if you are arriving at Wallops Wood within 8 weeks of booking, the full amount is due to be paid.

If I need to cancel, what should I do?
We require notice of the cancellation by the person who booked the accommodation. Notify us immediately of the cancellation by phone and confirm it in writing or by email.
Cancellations must be for the whole property booked. Although it is possible to cancel a Hut/some Huts and for other members of the party to stay in the remaining booked Hut/s if multiple Shepherd’s Huts have been booked.
We will offer the opportunity to rebook your stay for future dates subject to availability. Consequently we transfer monies already paid towards the new booking, at the price pertaining to the new dates. Pay any balance due 8 weeks before arrival.
We reimburse the cancelling guest on the scheduled check-out date of the original booking, if eligible for a refund payment. Reimbursement is made to the card or nominated bank account used for payment.
We treat the cancellation dependent on a) the date the booking was made, and b) when the cancellation is made. Check the Terms and Conditions document sent with your invoice.

Our refund guarantee does NOT cover guests for:
- falling ill with Covid (or any other illness)
- a requirement to self-isolate or quarantine, or
- a Track & Trace alert preventing travel.
Those situations can all be covered by taking out suitable travel insurance and we strongly recommend guests should obtain their own travel insurance. We regret that we are unable to recommend specific companies or policies.
Should I buy booking Insurance?

Can I bring my dog on holiday?
Wallops Wood won the Best Dog Friendly Business of the Year in 2018 from Visit England, a very prestigious award! We want to ensure that everyone from 2 legged owners to 4 legged pooches have a great holiday, and welcome 2 dogs per Shepherd’s Hut.
We charge£30.00 per dog to cover the extra cleaning, and we include a doggy welcome pack. For more details, check our Dogs Welcome page.
Is there a Doggy Welcome Hamper?
Yes! We include a Doggy Hamper which includes food bowls, dog towel, blanket, complimentary treats, holiday collar tag engraved with our contact details, and a tug toy to keep!
We provide a Walks leaflet in your Shepherd’s Hut which includes 8 local walks to enjoy with pub stops along the way.
Do you have equipment for young children?
We offer children’s equipment to borrow during your stay and you can check out our children’s equipment list.
Can I bring an extra person on our booked holiday?
We may be able to put in an extra bed for you, but call us first to check on 01489 878888. Not all Shepherd’s Huts offer an extra bed.

We are keen to showcase Hampshire and its amazing culture, art, music, food and drink events so we share as much as we can on social media. Visit our Facebook and Instagram, accounts and follow our hashtag for the latest information about what’s on #whatsonatwallopswood
Although we are in the heart of the South Downs National Park, we are only 20 mins from Portsmouth or Petersfield, 25 mins from Winchester, and 30 mins from Southampton. There’s so much going on around the Meon Valley, in Winchester, Southampton and Portsmouth!

Visit Winchester, our local Tourist Information Centre, is constantly updated with local events and What’s On.
Showcasing activities and events on a monthly basis, Visit Hampshire is a great resource and you can filter by date too!
Are there walks around Wallops Wood?
We have prepared 8 walking routes for our guests which are shown in the Walks leaflet in your Shepherd’s Hut. The walking tours last from 30 minutes to 2 hours and we have noted pub stops along the way, all of which are dog friendly:
- The Shoe Inn Pub in Exton: sit by the River Meon in Spring and Summer and enjoy the peaceful surroundings with great food.
- The Baker’s Arms in Droxford: enjoy fabulous Sunday meals for the whole family at this pub situated within our local village.
- The White Lion Pub in Soberton: experience this traditional 17th century pub with locally sourced food.
- The Bucks Head in Meonstoke: Take a walk to this picturesque pub which produces freshly-made pizzas from their pizza oven.

Do I need to bring anything specific for my Shepherd's Hut holiday?
We recommend bringing a pair of wellies and you’ll need the food and drink you intend to consume while you’re here.
We provide Hand Wash, and a Shower Gel/Shampoo in the kitchen and bathroom areas. Debbie, the perfumer at New Forest Aromatics, produces these lovely toiletries and most of the natural ingredients are sourced from the New Forest.
Please don’t take them with you, although we know it is tempting!

What cleaning products do you use? Are they Eco products?
Our housekeepers use natural vinegar and beeswax polish to clean as well as Ecover products which include:
- All Purpose Cleaner for walls, cupboards
- Multi-action Spray for general cleaning
- Limescale Remover when required
- Washing Up Liquid in kitchen areas
We are located in the South Downs National Park, a place of natural beauty with stunning flora and fauna. Consequently, we do as much as we can to ensure our beautiful countryside is protected. Find out more about our Green Ethos.
How sustainable are you?
Wallops Wood were awarded the Green Tourism Gold Award in 2020! We are based in the South Downs National Park, where fauna and flora is protected, and as a result sustainability is very important to us. Check out our Green Ethos.
Here are some of our green practices:
- We clean using natural and Ecover products
- In general our maintenance team reuses the cleaning brushes, scourers and textiles when the items are too old to be used by our housekeeping team
- We don’t use chlorine in the wood-fired hot tubs
- We purchase toiletries from New Forest Aromatics, which is a local and natural toiletry manufacturer
- Our welcome basket includes local and artisan apple juice
- Walking tours in the Walks Leaflet range from 30 mins to several hours, and some include a pit stop at a local pub!
- We share information about local attractions, events, food and drinks producers on our social media channels
